SINDBAD: On the Road!

'SINDBAD: On the Road', a mobile exhibition concept, departed from the conventional "white cube" model by transforming a modified vehicle into a roving gallery. The SINDBAD Collective organised this project as an itinerant showcase that engaged with local communities across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The curatorial process was driven by an open call, an approach that prioritised inclusivity and accessibility by welcoming all submissions. By decentralising the exhibition experience and allowing for spontaneous collaborations, the project sought to democratise art engagement and cultivate and reflect on the experimental art ecology within the region.
