In March 2023, THIRD SPACE* Studio designed and delivered the Qamra 23 annual fashion pop-up in Jeddah. The event was held at a central location, backing directly onto the Red Sea and the corniche. Around 100 local designers were invited to take part in the curated fashion experience, as well as the general public. The design and masterplan mimicked a streetscape, and consisted of 8 different types of retail booths, spaces for food and beverage, and a central landscaping feature.

The initial concepts for the Qamra 23 retail booths employed a variation in material treatment, with timber frames and panelling. A pitched-roof timber structure was designed to be placed in the centre of the masterplan. The structure, exposed on all faces, blurs the boundaries between the interior and exterior experience.
